How to get National Means cum Merit Scholarship in Telengana

Government of Telangana provides National Means cum Merit Scholarship for class 8 standard students. The aim is to award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to arrest drop out at class 8 standard and encourage them to continue the study at the secondary stage

Who can apply for NMMS scheme?

1) Students from class 9 to Intermediate Secondary are eligible to apply for getting this scholarship
2) Students of NVS, KVS, Sainik schools and private schools are not entitled to the awards
3) Students whose parental income is not more than Rs 1,50,000 per annum are eligible to avail the scholarships

How to apply for availing NMMS scheme?

1) First, visit the official website of Telangana Directorate of Government Examinations through the given link there
2) Then click “NMMS” link which will be at left side bottom of the web page
3) Next click on “NMMS Application” link under NMMS
4) After clicking you have to enter the User Id and Password to open the application form
5) Read all the instructions very carefully
6) Fill all the columns and upload the photo with signature
7) Every candidate must upload income certificate, caste certificates in case of SC/ST/BC candidates and medical documents in case of disabled candidates
8) After fulfilling all the details apply and take a print out
9) Check all the details and click the link SBI Collect for fee payment
10) Select State of Corporate/Institution as Telengana and Type of Corporate/Institute as Govt Department
11) Select Govt Department name as DIRECTOR OF GOVT EXAM TS and click on submit to proceed further
12) Select Payment category as TS NMMS EXAM FEE and Submit
13) Verify all the details once and click the Confirm button
14) After selecting your mode of payment click Pay button
15) After clicking the Pay button, the payment receipt will be displayed
16) Finally, submit the following in the O/o the District Educational Officer
a) Two sets of Nominal Rolls attested by the Head of the Institution
b) Application of each candidate attested by Head of the Institution concerned (Attested copies of income certificate for all candidates, Caste Certificates in case of BC/SC/ST and Medical Certificates for PH candidates should be enclosed)
c) Fee receipt

What is the Selection Procedure?

The state-level examination consists of the following two tests
1) Mental Ability Test(MAT)
2) Scholastic Aptitude Test(SAT)
